Are you looking for ways to secure your success in life? No matter how you define success, you will find these secrets helpful.
Having joy, peace and happiness is certainly one definition of success.
What is your definition of success?
I begin with my own 6 Success Secrets...
1. Honor your body. Take care of what you've got, and if some tweaking is in order, tend to it. This means eating in a way to promote good health and happiness. Your mood is directly impacted by the food you eat. Be sure to get enough and the right proportion of exercise.
2. Don't forget that you are as much your mind as you are your spirit. What do you do to take care of your spiritual needs? Many of us have grown up without the benefit of knowing just how essential this is.
3. Do you take care of your mind and let it rest? Many of us are in such a turmoil, that our minds never stop racing. Our emotions are a mess because we are responding to a tangled web of mess. Thoughts race without the time to acknowledge perspective. Do you jump to conclusions about yourself and others?
4. Honor your friends and family. They are all your teachers just as you are a teacher for them. When you recognize that, you will find so much more joy in the time you spend with them.
5. Honor your world-no matter how large or how small. Enjoy your sacred space. This will help diminish the mental static that will otherwise just keep on going.
6. Give up your attachment to the outcome. That doesn't mean that you give up your desire or intention. Deepak Chopra, in The Seven Laws of Success states that 'anything we want can be acquired through detachment, because detachment is based on the unquestioning belief in the Power of the Self.
Dr. Chopra's book offers other wonderful gems.

I really like Eckardt Tolle's three ways to awakened doing. He describes three ways in which consciousness can flow into what you do, so that you can align your life with the creative powers of the universe. Some call the universe God. That is up to you.
1. Acceptance (taken directly from Eckardt Tolle's A New Earth Awakening Your Life's Purpose pg 296)
Whatever you cannot enjoy doing, you can at least accept that this is what you have to do. Acceptance means: For now, this is what this situation, this moment requires me to do, and so I do it willingly."
There is so much joy in learning to accept. I talk about this also on my page about depression.
2. Enjoyment (taken directly from Eckardt Tolle's A New Earth Awakening Your Life's Purpose pg 297) "The peace that comes with surrendered acitons turns to a sense of aliveness when you actually enjoy what you are doing." Enjoyment can replace 'wanting' as a motivating power behind our actions. Tolle also says, "When you make the present moment, instead of past and future, the focal point of your life, your ability to enjoy what you do-and with it the quality of your life- increases dramatically. Joy is the dynamic aspect of Being."
3. Enthusiasm (taken directly from Eckardt Tolle's A New Earth Awakening Your Life's Purpose pg 301) "Enthusiasm means there is deep enjoyment in what you do plus the added element of a goal or a vision that you work toward." How is this different than enjoyment? "A certain degree of what we might call structural tension is now added to enjoyment, and so it turns into enthusiasm. At the height of creative activity fuled by enthusiasm, there will be enormous intensity and energy behind what you do. You will feel like an arrow that is moving toward the target-and enjoying the journey.
