My Weight Loss Goals



It is important to set some real life, attainable weight loss goals. Some will be short term goals and some a little more long term. This way I'll feel like I can actually see the light at the end of the tunnel. I like to celebrate little successes. What is life without celebration, afterall?

I'm also about keeping it simple. So, I'm just going to set a few really great goals that I can actually achieve. I'm also going to throw in a few long term goals. They all make sense and they're all about being healthy!

My Goals
1. Decide on best way to achieve healthy weight loss.
(I plan to look into some of the more popular weight loss programs. I'll share my findings with you!) I'm giving myself a week to investigate and choose.

2. Lose 15 pounds, which will give me a healthy body mass index (BMI). I'm very close to a normal BMI, however I feel best when I'm more toward the middle. I'm giving myself about 7 weeks, which is about 2 pounds a week. This is a healthy goal.

3. Exercise again! I love to exercise, but I let my work take priority. Oh, no! There are many fun ways to exercise, and I really look forward to this. I like to do some of the DVDs so that I can exercise anytime any day. I much prefer to be with other people, but that doesn't always work out with my schedule. I'll let you know what I like, don't like and the benefits of the DVDs I try. I plan to start exercising within 3 days. I'm really ready to start this one! Please share your own experiences, too.

4. Maintain that 'perfect' weight for me.
5. Continue to monitor what I eat (this is one of my favorite weight loss secrets)
6. Live a life in balance-starting today. This is kind of vague, but I know exactly what I mean. I'll write more about this in future postings.
